SCHEDULES

Groups Rehearsals

Rehearsals for competitive groups will run throughout the year (September to June) as they will also perform at the Dance Recital at the end of June.
Rehearsals will run weekly, in slots of 30 minutes according to scheduled times available online.

Trios, Duos, and Solos Rehearsal Times

Rehearsals for competitive trios, duos and solos will run from November to April as they will perform only in Competitions.
Rehearsals will run weekly, in slots of 30 minutes for trios and duos and in slots of 15 minutes for solos according to scheduled times available online.

REHEARSAL COMMITMENT

Regular Rehearsal Schedules

Rehearsals for competitive groups, trios, duos, and solos will run weekly from September thru December 18^th and will resume on January 7^th until the last competition.
Please read carefully detailed information regarding attendance as competitive students are permitted only 3 absences during the competition rehearsal season.

Rehearsals During Easter Break

The Studio will be closed on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday (April 6, 7 and 8).
Extra rehearsals will happen during Easter Break (April 9^th-11^th) and it is MANDATORY to ALL competitive dancers.

ATTENDANCE

Attendance at Rehearsals

Attendance at ALL competition rehearsals (including Easter Break) is mandatory!
Starting in October 1^st, students will have their attendance monitored and recorded by instructors. ANY competitive student will be removed from any groups, trios, duos and solo after a total of 3 absences.

Tardiness

Ideally, students should be ready to start their rehearsal at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time and every 3 tardiness will be considered as 1 absence.

Attendance During DIWC Shows

Generally, DIWC rehearsals are scheduled in a way to not conflict with competition rehearsals. Absences will be excused for performances only. Students who decide to help with the production backstage may do so only if there are no conflicts with a competition rehearsal.

Excused Absences

There will be some consideration given for excused absences:
Family emergencies such as Funerals, car accidents, etc
School Commitments for which there is a credit requirement
Severe illness such as high fever, flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc (cold or sniffles ARE NOT excused absences!)
