Sessional Dance Classes for Adults

Have fun, exercise, and connect with your inner dancer! No matter your level of training or dance style, you are sure to find a class to suit your needs. With classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Dance Fitness, Salsa, and Tap, our Motivate program is the perfect fit for you.

  • Adult Ballet Beginner

    Sessional

    Adult

    Ballet class beginner level for adults with minimum or no experience. Classes will run in sessions of 10 weeks. Drop-in fees are also available for adults who are unable to attend on a regular basis or just want to try the class before registering. This class does not participate in the Year-End Performance.

  • Adult Ballet Intermediate

    Sessional

    Adult

    Intermediate level ballet class for adults with a minimum 3 years experience. Classes will run in sessions of 10 weeks. Drop-in fees are also available for adults who are unable to attend on a regular basis or just want to try the class before registering.  This class does not participate in the Year-End Performance.

  • Adult Dance Fitness

    Sessional

    Adult

    In this class, adults of all levels of fitness will be working towards improving their cardio, strength and flexibility. Making use of yoga and medicine balls, yoga blocks, exercise bands, etc, students will be guided through solo and partner work. Equipment and yoga matts are provided. Please bring a personal towel :)

  • Adult Mindful Movement

    Sessional

    Adult

    Mindful Movement is a class founded upon integration of contemporary dance and mindfulness-based practices. Classes will involve: a contemporary floor warmup, mindful meditation and intention setting, conditioning elements involving dance, yoga, and Pilates, instruction and exploration of contemporary dance essentials (e.g. release, grounded-ness, qualities …), and guided improvisations. The goal of the class is to provide individuals the opportunity to experience their kinesthetic body through a wholistic lens; done by exploring, acknowledging, listening, and then following through on the body’s organic impulses. Exploration through the medium of dance promotes general wellness and enhances self-awareness, self- efficacy and determination, and personal empowerment.

  • Adult Hip Hop

    Sessional

    Adult

    Modern and dynamic, hip hop is certainly addictive. This powerful, high-energy dance style relies on a punchy beat and a little bit of attitude! Children will master individual moves before learning to build up to longer routines. Come and learn cool moves in this fun and high energy class. Students in this class do not require a costume to participate in our Annual Year-End Performances in June.

  • Adult Tap

    Sessional

    Ages 13+

    Made popular during the 20th Century, this appealing dance style still has its place in the modern world. Learning tap dancing is ideal for adults who have always wanted to give it a try. Mastering this style of dance can help with coordination, rhythm, musicality and agility. Classes are designed to suit your ability and are always enjoyable!

Prices shown PER CLASS. Tuitions will be charged on a monthly basis (1st of the month) based on the actual number of classes.
