Desiree’s dance journey started over 35 years ago, when she took her first ballet class at the age of 5. From that moment on she was hooked, spending most of her childhood at the dance studio. Throughout the years, she has had the opportunity to explore many different styles of dance including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, salsa and belly dancing. She was accepted at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School of Dance at the age of 12 and earned her teacher assistant certificate there as well. Desiree attended both the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary majoring in accounting and business law. She was a paralegal for over 8 years before taking a hiatus to raise her family. Her legal experience includes family law, conveyancing, wills and estates, bankruptcy, and accounting.
When she isn’t at the Studio, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd, and their three kids, Sydney, Tyson and Rebecca, volunteering and taking it easy at her family’s cabin. Desiree is excited to be a part of this amazing dance family at Class Act Studios and cannot wait to see what the future brings!
